Two chairs for the musicians are tucked in on the far side of the fish pond, behind the planter.
The Garden
Floorplan

The
goal is to leave a generous procession space from the building to the pergula and back.

This is the straight and true chair alignment that you're going for. It's best achieved by tweaking after all of the chairs have been put in place. |
Ceremony Chair Set-Up
in the Garden
The
Ceremony Garden at Chase Court sets up beautifully for a ceremony. Chairs can be supplied by the caterer or Chase Court (rental in either case).
To determine your ceremony chair count, subtract the number in the wedding party (including the bride and groom) from the total guest count and add the number of musicians or the DJ.

There are 97 chairs total in this layout, 52 on the side and 45 in front. Note the placement of the musicians on the right (add two chairs for them). The Ceremony Garden accomodates up to 130 chairs.

There are four rows in the front section, with the third and fourth rows being longer by one and four chairs, respectively. Note that the first two rows start at the junction of the bluestone, which corresponds to the middle of the first hosta planter (see image above).

This is the side set-up. Notice the relatively generous walk space in front of the first row to accomodate parents being seated during the ceremony.
