Dancing!
The entire Chase Court Ballroom floor is excellent for dancing (it's 125-year-old hardwood), so much so that it's been used for ballroom dance lessons and a tango milonga. Dancing typically flows out from in front of the fireplace and across or up the center of the room. It is an elegant and intimate space in which to dance.

The Ballroom has outstanding acoustics. Unlike some modern ballrooms that are designed to contain rather than propogate sound, the acoustics are excellent. Music doesn't have to be loud to be heard. Musicians and DJs all rave about the sound.
