"Thank you
again, you have made a very difficult choice so easy
for Bert
and I. I just knew that planning this wedding was going
to be a nightmare, but you have made it so wonderful and
I just know that you see my dream for this wedding, and
we haven't
even
met!" -

How
many guests can Chase Court accommodate?
The Ballroom at Chase Court accommodates
up to 125 people seated for a meal, and 150 for a cocktail-style reception.
In addition, stand-up tables work very well in the Garden,
which may also be tented. The
Garden seats
up to 40 for brunch or 130 for cermonies.
The Library accommodates 50 people standing or
35 people for small indoor ceremonies, or 30 people seated for a meal.
Is there air conditioning?
Chase Court is fully air conditioned.
Can we have our ceremony there?
Yes! Many of our brides do. The Garden is perfect
for your "I dos". Winter brides say their vows in the Ballroom.
What about having just our ceremony there?
If
your reception is too large for our Ballroom,
you are most welcome to have just your ceremony at Chase Court. Rates vary,
depending on the time, location, and date of your ceremony. For a
ceremony, the Garden accommodates up to
150 people standing or 130 seated. The Ballroom accommodates
150 seated for ceremonies.
What about parking?
Over 500 parking spaces are available across
the street in the PENN Parking Garage on Hargrove Street and in the PMI
Garage on Charles Street (next to the Belvedere), at the surface lot between
St.
Paul and
Lovegrove
Streets,
and at many metered and non-metered street spaces throughout the neighborhood.
You may arrange to pay the Penn garage parking for your guests. Rates vary
by day of week. (Please see our parking page for
more information.)
Is Chase Court part of a church?
Chase Court is privately owned and is not connected to or affiliated with any
church.
Are tables and chairs included in the price?
No. You have complete freedom in your choice of style and color of tables
and chairs. Your caterer will handle the rental of tables and chairs for
you.
Chase
Court
can also arrange for the rental
of tables
and chairs.
How
much time do we have?
Four hours for your reception, plus two to three hours for the caterer and
others to set-up, and one hour for clean-up. Additional hours are available
at the rate of $700 per hour.
When is the Garden in bloom?
A
large part of the garden is planted with evergreen perrenials to
offer a show of texture, shape, size and color throughout the year.
Much of the rest of the garden is planted in perrenials that
start earlier in
the season (April) and last into November. The ceremony
garden has a clearing-in-the-forest feeling that a lot of brides
like. The
impatiens blooms from about May 15, just after they go in,
to November 1
(and
sometimes
longer
than
that).
Outdoor
ceremonies are generally scheduled from the last weekend of April
through the
last weekend
of October, mostly due to temperature considerations.
Will we be the only people on the property?
Yes! We do one event at a time. Chase Court is completely private. The
only guests present at Chase Court during your event will be your own.
What about catering?
Baltimore's finest caterers love Chase Court! A list of Approved
Caterers can be found here. You may use
other caterers, subject to approval by Chase Court.
How is payment handled?
A non-refundable deposit of one half of the total due is paid at
the signing of the contract. The second half is paid sixty days
before your wedding.
Will a staff member be present during our time at Chase Court?
Yes. It is our practice to give each event our complete attention.
Our attention-to-detail service is a signature aspect of Chase
Court.
Are
there any restrictions regarding red wine or other alcoholic beverages?
You are welcome to serve red wine and any other alcoholic beverages that you
choose. All beverages must be served by your caterer. Beer in kegs is not allowed.
Are there any restrictions regarding music?
You are welcome to use live or recorded music inside and out. Chase Court is
a solidly-built 1879 stone building, so little sound escapes the walls. You
may have music in the garden at a reasonable volume up until 11 PM.
Is smoking allowed?
Smokers are welcome to do their thing in both the entrance garden and the ceremony
garden. There are Smokers Oasis devices (fancy, self-contained ash trays) in
both areas. No
smoking is allowed inside the building.
Are there any additional fees?
No! There are no fees or deposits for kitchen use or other usual wedding reception
activities. We want to make it we easy for you to have your wedding at Chase
Court!
Does Chase Court really look like it's pictures?
Yes,
it sure does!
