LR-3394City Cafe

City Cafe
1001 Cathedral Street, (410) 539-4252
3 blocks from Chase Court
Beautifully renovated, City Cafe is a mainstay of comfortable fine dining in Mount Vernon. It’s light and airy, just the opposite of a bar atmosphere. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week and a have full bar. The food is outstanding, and it’s matched by the service. One of our favorite places to go in the neighborhood. City Cafe will customize their menu for your rehearsal. Contact: Gino Cardiale

Dooby’s
802 North Charles Street
4 blocks from Chase Court
New and beautiful with great food, we love the attention to detail that goes into their food and their space. They’re much more than coffee, with a hot new menu by chef Tom Dyson.

Iggie’s
818 North Calvert Street, (410) 528-0818
3 blocks from Chase Court
Pizza! Gourmet pizza, at that. Here’s the Baltimore Sun’s take: “The thin-crust pizzas (especially the Alice: basil, pesto, fresh tomato, garlic, spinach, goat cheese and Parmesan) at this bright and airy Mount Vernon spot… The self-service set-up might be a little intimidating, but the servers are kind and the prices are right.”  It’s a great place for a casual rehearsal dinner, and an easy walk from Chase Court.

International

The Brewer’s Art
1106 North Charles Street, (410) 547-6925
1 block from Chase Court
Incredible food artfully prepared, and as the name suggests, they brew their own (outstanding!) beer. Draft Magazine chose the Brewer’s Art as one of its 100 best beer bars of 2013. “Sipping snifters inside this historic Baltimore townhome feels like a surreal open house,” Draft wrote. “The venue’s sun-splashed foyer and cozy fireplace set the stage for the brewpub’s delicious Belgian-inspired creations and esoteric guest beers that make this piece of real estate a beer lover’s dream destination.” Very popular for Chase Court rehearsal dinners!

Red Emma’s

30 West North Avenue, (443) 602-7611

Outstanding vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free menu, in a great space where we love to linger. The menu is broad and interesting, even enough to capture meat-eaters attention. Casual leaning toward bohemian, inexpensive, and fun. They have a private room, but you’ll probably want to be out in their spacious main room.
