If attention to detail is any mark of an outstanding wedding reception—and I think it is—this cake tells the story. It represents all of the work that went on behind the scenes, including the pre-event coordination between all of the wedding professionals and the wonderfully-organized bride. Every detail was worked out in advance through telephone calls, e-mail, meetings, and the in-person on-site walk-through at Chase Court that took place a month before the event.
Guests started their experience enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres, impeccable service, stunning violin, and a gorgeous early September evening of socializing outside in the Chase Court garden.
There’s an intimacy to the garden that always feels good and immediately sets guests at ease.
When it was time for dinner, guests found their place cards in the library, presented with—what could be better?—chocolate!
The ballroom was set perfectly. The look was simple and elegant, warm and inviting.
Beautifully boxed favors awaited the guests on their chairs.
The flowers, the cake, the windows!
One side of the table number card was written in English, the other in Russian.
There were many beautiful details, including this throwing bouquet.
Adding the talents of the florist to the baker’s made for an exquisite cake presentation!
The first dance.
How did it go?
