There are really three gardens at Chase Court. There’s the entrance garden off of Chase Street; the ‘secret’ ceremony garden; and this one, which faces Saint Paul Street. This Saint Paul Street garden is seen by thousands of people every day. Nearly 15,000 cars pass by it, plus pedestrians going back and forth to the train station, the Bolt bus stop, Charm City Yoga, and their homes in and around Mount Vernon/Belvedere and Downtown. There’s a lot going on around here!
Creating good green space, beauty, and just something wonderful in the middle of the city is what we’re working on in the Saint Paul Street garden.
These variegated Liriope are two years old now. Don’t they look great!
The roses peeking through the fence in the photograph above come from these intense red-orange buds.
There’s still more to do. The work is kicking back into high gear, now that the weather has cooled. The fence is getting painted, Pennsylvania bluestone is being laid down, and there’s more planting to do. Soon we’ll have another incredible place for wedding photographs—and more beauty on Saint Paul Street.
