Big Kenyan Wedding in the Garden

By August 15, 2011April 26th, 2015No Comments

Seven men (seven BIG Kenyan men!), seven women, seven children and the officiant, all under the Chase Court pergula for a wedding ceremony!

The guests chanted the bride and groom out with a wedding blessing, sung in Swahili, all the while rocking back and forth and clapping their hands. Very traditional, very loving.

Doncha love this! The bridesmaids all wore skirts and tops from the same material, but each of them wore it differently. What a great look! The children wore coordinating dresses and the men had vests and ties to match. Oh, and don’t miss the shoes! What a beautiful, colorful wedding! —David
