A very loving sister threw a surprise birthday party at Chase Court for the clearly-surprised lady you see below, and was it ever fantastic!
The gentleman on the left had been complicit with the loving sister through the whole planning process, seeing that the honoree was properly attired and delivered to Chase Court at the right time under, of course, false pretense. He had just experienced the wrath of the honoree for his having done so, which immediately followed her walking into the garden at Chase Court and being totally and utterly surprised by 75 friends and family shouting, “happy birthday!”. His contrite expression, however, was short lived…
Once she—and he—recovered, all was well, and much happiness ensued!
There were many happy reunions with family, friends, and colleagues!
There were more surprises to come. The loving sister had packed a van in Atlanta and hightailed it up to Baltimore the night before with all of the decor, five cakes, and lots of family!
There were many thank-yous and call-outs to be made by the chagrined but very happy honoree.
Rouge Fine Catering put out an outstanding meal, including one of our favorites…
Paella!
There was lots of cake, brought all the way from Atlanta!
After all the words were spoken, the young and remarkably-composed son of the honoree, who you can just see at the left of the fireplace, below the speaker, offered grace.
