It was a dark and stormy night in Baltimore, but that wasn’t going to stop two determined grooms!
It had been raining and lots of storms were still swirling about, but the universe smiled upon Aaron and Charles. They processed into the garden for their wedding ceremony with Aaron’s grandmother Clara walking them down the aisle.
The two grooms were the picture of elegance in their matching tuxedos!
It was a Wednesday evening, June 28, Tao Day, an auspicious day for these two men. Did I mention that it was a geeky wedding? They had their first date on Pi Day, so it seemed only right to marry on Tao Day! Numbers are big in the lives of geeks!
Aaron and Charles read the vows to each other that they had each written. They were sweet, self-aware, and sincere!
Forty-five of their closest friends and family were gathered in the garden to bear witness.
The readings included excerpts from writings by Carl Sagan and a Declaration of Principles that will be familiar to fans of Babylon 5.
They exchanged rings as twilight set in.
And the kiss!
Two very happy – and married – men!
Live music is very special at a wedding ceremony, and the violin makes it especially so. The prelude, processional, interlude, and recessional were all played live, and magnificently.
With Aaron and Charles’ elopement ceremony Chase Court celebrates our 54th LGBTQ wedding! We couldn’t be more proud. Our commitment to LGBTQ weddings is strong and long-held. We welcome and affirm couples of every spirituality and sexuality.
Small “elopement” wedding ceremonies can be just as memorable and romantic as big weddings, sometimes even more so. The Chase Court elopement packages made it easy to do. You can have as many details as you like included – officiant, photography, flowers, and musicians, to name a few – and your ceremony is always custom-written for you. It makes for a beautiful ceremony in a beautiful space, and a great alternative to a courthouse wedding.
This wedding is a great example of how you can have a wedding for six to 45 guests customized the way you want – with nothing that you don’t want – without spending tens of thousands of dollars. One of the joys of using our elopement packages is that we take the stress out of planning your wedding. You decide how much or how little you want us to do, and we make it happen, just the way you like. Simple and easy, even on a rainy day.
