Hollywood Style, Indie Budget.

Jeff and Inga, who as you can see have a great sense of style (gotta love that hat!), had their wedding reception here at Chase Court on May 21. What I especially liked is how they chose simple-but-elegant basics like single-color table linens (but made of satin) and wooden folding chairs to create an almost Hollywood-style sepia-tone look without spending huge amounts of money.

How did they do it? Jeff, who is a wedding videographer, used lighting to make it work. They had Perkins Productions set uplighting all around the perimeter of the ballroom. It’s a great effect that draws the eye and sets the mood. Very upbeat, very elegant, and very cost-effective. —David

Looks simple but dramatic and the sepia-toned concept is a winner. Is the bride wearing a hair accessory? I’d love to see a closeup. Great style!

Good eye, Jennifer! The bride is wearing a 1950’s-style over-the-face veil, very much like a pillbox hat, but in a wide mesh. It looked great!
